CAS: 7446-19-7 (H2O); 7446-20-0 (7H2O)
Character: Colorless or white crystalline powder, odorless. Efflorescence in air. Acid hydrometer is 1.957 (25/4ºC) to litmus. Melting point is 100ºC. Soluble in water and glycerol, insoluble in ethanol. Light toxicity, loses crystal water at 280ºC.
Usage: Used as food additives, animal feed, printing and dyeing, timber preservative. Also used as an analytical reagent.
Packing: Packed with polythene bag as the inner layer, and a compound plastic woven bag as the outer layer. Net weight of each bag is 25kg.
Storage and Transport: Store in a dry and ventilative warehouse; keep away from water and moisture during transport. Unload with care to avoid bag damage. Store separately from poisonous substances.
