Haider finger type expansion joints are designed to handle displacements of up to 250 mm between the bridge decks they are fastened to.
Haider finger type joints comprise two separate elements (male and female) with a steel structure entirely bonded with vulcanised rubber, which are then secured to the structure with suitable anchor bolts.
Surface water can drain away easily due to special elastic membranes positioned under the joint's finger-type structure.
