| The float level gauge uses a magnetic float as the measuring element. Through magnetic coupling, the resistance inside the sensor changes linearly. The intelligent converter converts the resistance change into a 4-20mA standard current signal. It can display the liquid level percentage, 4-20mA current and liquid level value on site. When transmitted to the control room, it can achieve automatic detection, control and recording of the liquid level. This instrument is suitable for measuring the liquid level of media in various open and pressurized containers in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, light industry and medicine, especially for underground storage tanks and storage tanks. |
| The working principle of the float level gauge is mainly based on the principles of buoyancy and static magnetic field. The float level gauge consists of a float with a magnet. The position of the float in the measured medium changes with the variation of the liquid level. When the liquid level rises, the float rises accordingly. The change in the position of the magnet will cause a change in the state of the sensor (usually a reed switch), which in turn affects the electrical quantity of the circuit system. By detecting the changes in these electrical quantities, the liquid level in the container can be reflected. The float level gauge is usually installed on the top of the container through a connecting flange. The float floats on the liquid surface according to the Archimedes' principle of buoyancy. The rise and fall of the liquid level will cause the float to move up and down. Due to the magnetic effect, the reed switch in the float level gauge will change its resistance value due to magnetic attraction. This change in resistance value is then converted into a standard DC signal (such as 4mA to 20mA), thereby achieving remote detection and control of the liquid level. Although both the float level gauge and the float switch operate based on the principle of buoyancy, their application purposes are different. The float level gauge is mainly used for continuous measurement of liquid level height, providing continuous and precise liquid level readings, and is suitable for situations where real-time monitoring of liquid level changes is required. In contrast, the float switch is used to control the start and stop of equipment when the liquid level reaches a preset point, and is typically used for alarms or simple liquid level control. |
