FC-336 is an amphoteric fluorosurfactant consists of perfluorinated and hydrocarbon surfactants. It can reduce the surface tension of aqueous solutions at a very low concentration. It enables formation of an aqueous film which is able to spread on the surface of burning fire. Thus, FC-336 is widely used as a film forming agent in fire extinguishing foam concentrates against hydrocarbons and polar liquid fires.

FC-336 is a film forming fluorinated surfactant used in aqueous film forming foam(AFFF), film forming fluoroprotein (FFFP), and alcohol-resistant formulations AFFF-AR/FFFP-AR (against hydrocarbons and polar liquid fires).
