Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate is a food additive, white powder, odorless, tasteless, and easily soluble in water. Can be used as thickening agent.
FAO/WHO regulations: It can be used alone or in combination with other thickeners. For mayonnaise, 5 g/kg; canned carrots (products containing cream or other fats), fermented and heat-treated flavored yogurt and their products, 10 g/kg; cold drink products, 30 g/kg; canned sardines and sardine products, 20 g/kg; canned mackerel and horse mackerel, 60 g/kg (only for filling); quick-frozen fish sticks and fish fillets (only when wrapped in bread flour and bread crumbs), in accordance with GMP is limited.
