Combining the processability of vinyl polymer with the blocking effect of vinyl alcohol polymer, EVOH (Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Copolymer) offers excellent gas, odor, fragrance, and solvent blocking properties. Its thermal stability makes it ideal for multilayer containers, ensuring reusability.
EVOH is widely used for its high barrier properties in various film types, including biaxial tensile, aluminum evaporation, and adhesive coating types. Its gas barrier performance is influenced by the ethylene content, with higher ethylene content enhancing processability.
Characterized by exceptional gas barrier, transparency, gloss, mechanical strength, and more, EVOH is commonly used in food and non-food packaging applications. It can replace glass and metal containers in food packaging, offering superior barrier performance.
