Indications:
This product is used to treat the following infections caused by sensitive bacteria:
Respiratory infections (upper and lower respiratory tract); Urinary tract infection (upper and lower urinary tract); Peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis and other abdominal infections; Septicemia, meningitis; Skin and soft tissue infections, eye infections, bone and joint infections; Pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, gonorrhea and other genital and tract infections; Prevent post-operative infections due to abdominal, gynecological, cardiovascular, orthopaedic and plastic surgery.
Adverse reactions:
Patients generally tolerate cefoperazone-sulbactam well. Most adverse reactions are mild or moderate and can be tolerated without affecting continued treatment.
1. Common adverse reactions include diarrhea, loose stool, ALT, AST, ALP and transient elevation of blood bilirubin;
2. Less common adverse reactions (< 1%) fever, chills, headache, nausea, vomiting, transient pain at the injection site, phlebitis, maculopapula, urticaria, slight neutrophilia, decreased hemoglobin, thrombocytopenia, hypoprothrombinemia, and eosinophilia;
3. Long-term use of this product can cause reversible neutropenia;
4. Anaphylactic shock and Stevens-Johnson syndrome are occasionally seen.
Drug interaction:
This product has a synergistic effect with aminoglycoside antibiotics, but there are incompatibility between the two, if it is necessary to use, it should be dissolved and diluted separately after infusion.
Pharmacology and toxicology
Cefoperazone achieves bactericidal effect by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria. Sulbactam, in addition to its antibacterial activity against gonococcus and acinetobacter, and β-lactamase produced by drug-resistant strains, is an irreversible inhibitor, so the two components of this product have obvious synergistic antibacterial effect on various drug-resistant bacteria, and on various common pathogens, such as: Bacillus influenzae (Hemophilus influenzae), Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella, Morganella, Acinetobacter calc acetate, Enterobacter, citrogenes, etc., had extremely significant synergies (MIC value was more than four times lower than that of cefoperazone alone).
