What is Vitamin B12?Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is the largest and most complex vitamin molecule ever discovered, and the only one that contains metal ions. Vitamin B12 is widely used in food, feed, medicine and cosmetics.
Vitamin B12 is widely found in animal foods. And its form cannot be absorbed by the body. Application of Vitamin B12:
1. Improve folic acid utilization. 3. Promote the development and maturation of red blood cells. The conversion of methylmalonyl-CoA to succinyl-CoA participates in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, in which succinyl-CoA is involved in the synthesis of heme.
4. Vitamin B12 also participates in the synthesis of DNA, metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, and increases the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins.
