GSH type series arc grille waste removers are used in water intake canal of sewage treatment plant to hold up floater(as below called scum)in the sewage, and so as to ensure the following process to operate safely and normally.

CHARACTERISTIC
GSH type series are a new generation of waste remover designed on digesting imported equipment. They have the following characteristic:
1. With new type shaft-mounted reducer of vertical motor drive, without coupling, unnecessary aligning the centreline, low weight, much less occupied area than of epicyclic reducer, easy to parallelize several sets with small occupied area;
2. With hydraulic pressure buffer, effectively reducing impact and noise as the scum skimming rake is repositioned;
3. With over-torque protector, when the rake arm overloads due to accident electric power shall be cut off and the machine be stopped and alarms be given.
STRUCTURE AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
As shown in the diagram 1, GSH type series arc grille waste remover is made up of arc bars, rake, rake arm, driver with base, frame and over-torque protector, scum skimming rake with buffer, scum guiding plate, and control panel. The rake arm shall be by driver rotated around the centre of arc bars. The work of waste removing shall start while the rake enters the gap between bars. The scum intercepted by the bars shall be move up. When the teeth rake touches the scum skimming rake, the scum shall be extracted by the effect of relative motion of teeth rake and scum scum board and sent to conveyor through scum guiding plate. That is a complete process of waste removing. When the teeth rake passes the scum scum board the scum skimming rake shall by repositioned slowly under the effect of the buffer.
