Checkered Plate/Sheet, also known as Chequer Plate or Tread Plate, is a type of metal sheet with a regular pattern of raised diamonds / rhombus or raised lines on one side, with the opposite side being blank and flat. The texture on the checker metal sheet provides traction on the surface, which makes it ideal for no-slip walkways, ramps and stairs.
The chequer and embossed patterns are different shape, and the theoretical weight per square meter is also different.We supply hot rolled steel checkered plates and coils with rhombic (teardrop) shapes on the sheet surface, according to Spec. ASTM 36, including Standards; ASTM, ANSI and etc.
Metal chequer plate has many advantages such as decorative appearance, anti-skid property, economic cost and easy for fabrication. Chequererd and perforated metal plates are widely used in transportation, construction, decoration, machinery, shipbuilding as floor panels, anti-skidding stair treads, ramps, deck floor, walkways and a wide range of other uses.

Lentil-shaped/Hyacinth Bean, Diamond-shaped, Round Bean-shaped, Grain, and mixed shapes. The bar numbers are 1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar, 5 bar or 6 bar chequered mostly for anti skidding surface.

The chequered diamond plates provides an anti-slip resistant grip from all directions. Checkered plates are used as the floor panels or wall panels. Also written as Chequered Plate or Checkered Plate.
The steel tread plates with raised chequered patterns will prevent floor or surface from being damaged due to movement of goods, for example, pallet trucks in a warehouse environment and the interior of a truck/van, ship flooring, decks, oil field drilling station tread plates.
Steel checker plates are mostly finished with hot dipped galvanizing layer or zinc plate to achieve enhanced anti-corrosion resistance property and bright silver surface.
The plated carbon steel checker plates are used also with bar grating as covering surface to form a stair tread with light weight and strong structure.
