Geiger-Muller counter, or Geiger counter for short, is a counting instrument that specializes in detecting the intensity of ionizing radiation (alpha particles, beta particles, gamma rays and X-rays). The probe is made from an inflatable tube or chamber, when the voltage applied reaches a certain range, each ionized radiation generating a pair of ions in the tube, the connected electronic device can record an amplified electrical pulse of the same size generated by radiation, thereby measuring the number of rays in a unit time.
The Geiger-Muller counter (Gegenees Counter) can be applied in various scenarios.

Counting tubes and shells should be kept highly clean. Surface contamination should be decreased as much as possible to avoid insulation resistance reduction.
2. Application of typical working conditions
The characteristic parameters of the counter are all measured under the recommended operating voltage. The same condition is suggested to obtain the given characteristic parameters.
3. Careful installation
Handle it carefully when installation. The lead of the output end of the counter tube should be as short as possible, and the anode and cathode lead-out electrodes should not be subjected to excessive force. Especially notice the tube with glass shell to avoid air leakage and breakage.
