Quartz fiber is a kind of optical fiber with high refractive index of pure quartz glass material as the core and low refractive index of organic or inorganic materials as the envelope.
Due to the wide transmission wavelength range of quartz fiber (from near ultraviolet to near infrared, wavelength from 0.38-2.1um), quartz fiber is suitable for the transmission of signals and energy of various wavelengths from ultraviolet to infrared.
