Grundfos ALPHA2 high-efficiency circulator pumps are designed for circulating liquids in heating systems. The stainless-steel variant of the ALPHA2 is suitable for e.g. domestic hot-water systems. With an energy efficiency index (EEI) well below the ErP benchmark, it ensures substantial energy savings. Flow range : <3m³/h Lift range : ≤6m Maximum working pressure : 10bar liquid temperature : -25 .. 110 °C Aplication field : Is a household hot water system circulation pump equipped with a stainless steel pump casing. The AUTOADAPT function continuously adapts the pump performance to the actual heat demand, i.e. the size of the system and changing heat demand during the year. The AUTOADAPT feature finds the setting that provides optimal comfort with minimal energy consumption and makes the commissioning fast, safe, and easy. ALPHA2 also offers proportional-pressure, constant-pressure and constant-curve control modes.
The Grundfos ALPHA2 is designed to drive the circulation of media in heating systems. Stainless steel pump heads can also be used for household hot water systems.
Grundfos ALPHA2 is suitable for the following systems:
1.The system needs to match actual needs by changing the operating point of the water pump
2.System of flow and temperature changes
3.A system that requires nighttime deceleration
Pump liquid
This pump is suitable for the following media:
1.Clean, thin, non corrosive, non explosive liquid, free of solid particles or fibers.
2.Cooling liquid without mineral oil.
3.Domestic hot water (tap water), with a hardness not exceeding 14 ° dH, a temperature not exceeding 65 ° C, and a short-term peak value not exceeding 70 ° C. The dissolved calcium in tap water should not form scale.
4.Water softening.
Automatic nighttime deceleration
The Grundfos ALPHA2 can choose to activate the automatic deceleration function at night.
The automatic deceleration at night can be activated through the buttons on the panel.
Factory settings: not enabled.
Note: If the pump is set to constant speed I, II, or III, the night time automatic deceleration function cannot be used.
When the night automatic deceleration function is activated, the pump will automatically switch between night deceleration mode and normal working mode. The switching depends on the pipeline temperature measured by the built-in temperature sensor.

When enabling the automatic deceleration function at night in the system, the pump must be installed on the pipeline.
The switching between normal operation and nighttime deceleration mode is determined by the temperature of the pipeline.
When the pipeline temperature exceeds 10 ° C to 15 ° C for about 2 hours, the pump will automatically switch to the night time automatic deceleration mode. The rate of temperature decrease must be at least 0 1 ° C.
When the pipeline temperature rises by about 10 ° C, the pump switches back to normal operating mode, which does not depend on time.
