An HDMI cable is composed of 19 wires. The HDMI system consists of an HDMI transmitter and receiver. Devices that support HDMI interfaces typically have one to multiple interfaces, and each HDMI input of the device must comply with the specifications for the transmitter and each HDMI output must comply with the specifications for the receiver. The TMDS data transmission channel and clock channel are composed of 4 pairs of differential transmission lines among the 19 HDMI cables. These four channels are used to transmit audio signals, video signals, and auxiliary signals. In addition, HDMI also has a VESA DDC channel, also known as the Display Data Channel, which enables the exchange of status information between signal sources and receivers for configuration, enabling devices to output in the most appropriate way.
