HSS twist drill bits are suitable for all normal drilling in conventional materials, they provide fast and clean cutting for a vast array of materials:Steel, Copper, Aluminum, Brass, Oak, Maple, MDF, Pine, PVC, Polycarbonate, Acrylic, ABS, Composite Materials, and Common Stainless Steel.
Drill bits are available in High Speed Steel (HSS), High Speed Steel with 5% Cobalt alloy (HSS-Co5) and Titanium Nitride-coated High Speed Steel (HSS-TIN).
High speed steel (HSS): harder than steel blades, stay sharper longer.
HSS Cobalt: Extremely hard and dissipate heat quickly. They are most commonly used for boring in stainless steel and other metals.
