Pyrilutamide (developmental code name KX-826 ) is a nonsteroidal antiandrogen (NSAA) - specifically, a selective high-affinity silent antagonist of the androgen receptor (AR) - which is under development by Suzhou Kintor Pharmaceuticals, inc., a subsidiary of Kintor Pharmaceutical Limited, for the potential treatment of androgenic alopecia (androgen-dependent scalp hair loss) and acne in China and the United States. As of October 2022, it is in phase 3 clinical trials for androgenic alopecia and phase 2 trials for acne.

Application

Pyrilutamide inhibits the signaling pathway mediated by androgens and their receptors locally, and finasteride systemically inhibits androgens by competing with androgens in the target organizer for binding to androgen receptors. Different from DHT synthesis to stimulate hair growth, this mechanism avoids the reduction of systemic androgen levels and the resulting clinical side effects while blocking the signal transmission to stimulate hair growth.

KX-826 is recommended to store it in a cool, dry place, sealed from outside air. We ship the product in a double sealed bag which can be resealed. Another container is recommended sealing from outside air.
