each dB Calibrated at 4 frequencies
Auto turn-off of output after 2 minutes continuous operation
Power supply: 1.5V (AAA size) x3 battery
Operation:
* The hearing screener must be used in a quiet room to be effective
* A separate button is used for each frequency
* Turn power on and wait 15 seconds for proper activation
* Tell the person being screened the following:
[1] the right ear will be tested first
[2] four (4) different frequency tones will be presented
[3] raise his/her index finger when he/she hear a tone or think that he/she hears a tone
[4] tell them when each tone starts at 500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, 4000Hz
If you believe that the person is faking the results, retest by telling them only to be respond when they hear or think they hear a tone.
[5] record results noting when a frequency is heard
[6] repeat the same process forthe left ear
