This valve is usually used in urban sewage or drainage system. Mounted at the joint between the urban sewage/drainage pipeline and rivers/lakes, it will close automatically when the lake or river water level rises, preventing flood getting into the city. When the lake or river water level declines, this valve will open automatically to discharge the sewage water or water logging in the city.
