Material Selections

Martensitic Steel will be used whenever hardness and impact resistance are both needed, e.g. in primary and recycling applications. The martensite is a completely carbon-saturated type of iron by special heat treatment for improving the strength and wear properties, which lie between manganese steel and chrome steel. The steel hardness ranges from 53 to 58HRC and the impact strength is about 50J/cm2.
