At present, the disinfection of urban waterworks usually adopts chlorine gas, chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite and other chemical disinfection methods, in which chlorine gas disinfection is widely used because of its low price and strong continuous disinfection ability, the safety risks of chlorine gas disinfection have been increasingly concerned.
Sodium hypochlorite disinfection has a broad-spectrum and efficient disinfection effect. Its disinfection ability is similar to that of chlorine. The product form is a concentration liquid, which does not belong to the category of dangerous goods and avoids the leakage of toxic gas in chlorine, carbon dioxide, and other disinfection processes, and the transportation of dangerous goods. Therefore, it is gradually applied and promoted in waterworks. On-site sodium hypochlorite is a kind of disinfection process using salt, water, and electricity, which is very simple and easy.
The process flow of the conventional hypochlorite generator includes the following steps: firstly, after the tap water is softened, the calcium and magnesium ions in the water are removed, and part of the softened water provides the dilution water for the inlet water of the sodium hypochlorite generator; secondly, the other part flows into the salt dissolving tank to dissolve the refined salt into 30% saturated brine, which is accurately mixed with the dilution water by the metering pump after being softened, and then enters the electric power plant The direct current is electrolyzed under the action of electrolyzer. The prototype in the cell produces chlorine, and the cathode produces sodium hydroxide and hydrogen. The two products react to form sodium hypochlorite solution.
