The microcassette quite easily replaces the dies in multi-pass wire-drawing machines. It is absolutely compact and is suitable for particular productions where close tolerances are required. For this reason, there is no risk of the lubricant coming into contact with the worked product. The maximum reduction that can be achieved is evaluated on the basis of the specific product. A tolerance of 0.5% can be achieved on the final diameter. Line speed is raised from 300m/minute to 450 m/minute; there is no need of using wire drawing powder.
