Centrifugal separation utilizes a dynamic principle whereby diverse densities in the liquid and solid phases within a mixed fluid remain insoluble, allowing them to achieve different sedimentation velocities under the influence of a powerful centrifugal forcefield, effectively allowing them to separate and stratify, thereby achievingthe crucial goal of separating solid particles from the liquid.
This method of centrifugal separation is a purely physical process, expertly handling
liquid-solid, liquid-liquid, and liquid-liquid-solid separations. It is particularly effective whentwo-phase density differences are minimal, or when solid particles are small, a scenario wheregravity sedimentation aloneis not sufficient.
