Typically, the substation includes three distinct compartments: the High Voltage Compartment (equipped with high/medium voltage switchgear such as the ring main unit or gas-insulated switchgear, with rated voltages reaching up to 40.5kV), the Low Voltage Compartment, and the Transformer Compartment (featuring either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer).
