XS-G3080 PURE PTFE GASKET
Our Virgin Grade PTFE Gaskets are crafted from 100% pure PTFE material, ideal for a broad range of general applications. Renowned for its exceptional softness and malleability, this gasket is frequently employed for creating chemically resistant seals and gaskets.
Manufactured directly from resin without prior shaping, this gasket boasts superior physical and electrical insulation properties. It also offers enhanced resistance to deformation under pressure. Virgin Grade PTFE is easily identifiable by its distinctive, bright white color compared to its mechanical grade counterpart.
Constructed from synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, PTFE gaskets are composed entirely of carbon and fluorine. Naturally hydrophobic, these gaskets repel water and water-based substances. They also feature one of the lowest solid-state coefficients of friction.
PTFE exhibits remarkable dielectric properties and provides first-rate thermal insulation, functioning effectively within a broad temperature spectrum of -200°C to 260°C. Recognized as the most chemically resistant plastic, PTFE remains unaffected by most corrosive liquids, vapors, and gases.
