The hardness of silicon carbide is higher than that of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene UHMWPE. The ATT process can remove the non-polar impurities on the surface of the silicon carbide fine powder, and the surface of the powder is etched to increase the specific surface area. It can be added to the elastomer and the coating, has good dispersibility and small addition amount. As an additive to polyurethane, rubber or coating, it is no longer necessary to treat the silicon carbide with coupling agents.
