Main uses

1. Used as a flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubber, canvas, paper, coatings, etc., as a catalyst for petrochemical and synthetic fibers. Used in the manufacture of mordant, opalescent agent, is the synthesis of antimony salt raw materials. The enamel industry is used as an additive to increase the opacity and surface gloss of enamel. Used in glass industry as a decolorizing agent instead of arsenite. Medicine, metallurgy,  industry, etc.

2. Antimony trioxide is an additive flame retardant, often used with other flame retardants and smoke suppressants, and synergistic effects can be produced between the components. At the initial stage of combustion, antimony trioxide is first melted, forming a protective film on the surface of the material to isolate the air, and reducing the combustion temperature through the internal endothermic reaction. At high temperatures, antimony trioxide is vaporized, diluting the oxygen concentration in the air and thus playing a flame retardant role.

3. The amount of commonly used polycondensation catalyst in the polycondensation of ethylene terephthalate is about 0.03%. It is also used as a flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubber canvas, paper, coatings, etc. Antimony trioxide is also a good masking agent and is used as a pigment for white paint. Used in the manufacture of mordant, opalescent agent, but also the synthesis of antimony salt raw materials, glass industry instead of arsenite as a decolorizing agent.

4. Used in fireproof coating, pigment, enamel and glass industry . It is also used as a mordant.

5. Antimony trioxide is the earliest flame retardant, suitable for epoxy resin, polyurethane, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyester and so on. When used alone, the flame retardant effect is low, and when used with halogen, there is a good synergistic effect, and the flame retardant effect is significantly improved. Also used in the manufacture of enamel glaze, pigment, medicine, mordant and so on. In addition, it is also used as a catalyst in the petrochemical and synthetic fiber industry, and as a decolorizing agent to replace arsenite in the glass industry.
