Bolus| Skin care
Bolus is made from a solid, homogeneous, tissue-equivalent gel with a density of 1.03g/cc. It will not sag, deform or run. Bolus is available encased in a tough layer of thin plastic "skinless" or sticky for greater conformity to steep body contours. It is closely controlled for uniformity of thickness, electron density and homogeneity.
Bolus sheets can be cut with a scissors to any desired shape and layered to obtain the desired bolus effect.
Bolus is the ideal choice for applications above 1MV where additional tissue-equivalent thickness is required. It can also be used as a phantom material due to its homogeneous composition and uniform thickness.
