Iron powder is formed as a whole from several other iron particles. The particle sizes vary anywhere from 20-200 μm. The iron properties differ depending
on the production method and history of a specific iron powder.
There are three types of iron powder classifications: Reduced iron powder, Atomized powder, and Electrolyte iron powder. Each type is used in various applications depending on their properties.

Iron powder
Iron powder is formed as a whole from several other iron particles. The particle sizes vary anywhere from 20-200 μm. The iron properties differ depending
on the production method and history of a specific iron powder.
There are three types of iron powder classifications: Reduced iron powder, Atomized powder, and Electrolyte iron powder. Each type is used in various applications depending on their properties.

1. Soft Magnetic Composites,such as soft magnetic composites are often then used in electromagnetic applications.
2. Sintered Parts,such as sintered components in large electrical machinery, automotive components and in power tools.
3. Friction Materials and Products, such as brake pads, drum brake lining and other applications to create necessary amount of friction.
4. Brazing and Welding, iron powder is used to create a tight seal between components,always used in cored wires or as part of a coating material.
5. Thermal Surface Coating, coating can improve the longevity & endurance of components that experience corrosion and high wear-and-tear during operation.
6. Printing: Iron powder is also found in printings such as copying machines, color printers and black-and-white printers where toner cartridges are used.
7. Other uses: Iron powder can also be placed into other products such as dyes, paints, oil filtration, chemical applications, and metal clays used by jewelers.
