Product Description
Food - grade ammonium bicarbonate is a white crystalline powder, odorless with an smell. Its chemical formula is NH4HCO3. It is easily soluble in water and shows alkalinity in aqueous solution.
As a food additive, it is mainly used as a leavening agent in the production of baked goods such as bread and biscuits. During heating, it decomposes to produce carbon dioxide, and water, enabling the food to form a loose and porous structure and thus improving the taste. Meanwhile, it can also be used as a pH regulator to some extent to maintain a suitable pH environment during food processing. It can also serve as a processing aid in the production of beverages and dairy products.
