Tool steel:
As its name implies, tool steel is intended for the production of tools for material processing
and machining, such as drills, milling cutters, files, threading dies, knives, hammers, plastic
injection moulds, etc. It is characterised by high hardness, high strength, and a very high
quality.It is characterised by high hardness, abrasion resistance and low deformability.
Depending on the working conditions, a distinction is made between cold work tool steel
and hot work tool steel.Further subgroups are carbon tool steel and HSS high-speed tool steel.
The latter is mainly used to make drills, saws or threading dies.
