The round belt is driven by friction. The transmission belt is tightly sleeved on the two pulleys to generate pressure on the contact surface. The driving wheel drives the round belt by friction, and the round belt drives the driven wheel, thereby transmitting motion and power.
Round belt transmission is used as a transmission in low-speed and low-power transmission such as sewing machines, tape reels and other small power or manual machinery.
because the round belt is an elastomer, it fits seamlessly with the transmission wheel, and the movement is smooth and noiseless.
When overloaded, the round belt will slip on the pulley, which can effectively prevent other parts from being damaged.
Manufacturing and installation precision are not as stringent as meshed drive belts. Belt length can be increased to accommodate working conditions with larger center distances
