FKM Material Data:
Name: Fluorous Rubber (Viton; FPM; FKM)
SHORE Hardness: 65~90
Trait: High temperature resistant, wear resistance, oil resistance, ageing resistance, corrosion resistance
Temperature resistant: 200° ~250° The highest temperature is up to 300°

USE: This product is suitable for all kinds of mechanical equipment installed in the, in the provision of temperature, pressure and different liquid and gas medium, in fixed or sports mode on sealing function.
Viton has excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, weather, oxygen, mineral oil, fuels, hydraulic fluids, aromatics and many solvents, and therefore used for orings and cord. Fluorocarbon possesses low gas permeability, low compression set, and good mechanical properties.
Basic Temperature Service Range: -20°C to 205°C (Short periods up to 230°C).
There are many different types of Viton, used for both Viton oring and Viton cord. Please use this compatibility chart as a guide to choose the correct type for your application.
Additionally we are able to supply Viton / FKM which meets the requirements of FDA CFR title 21, section 177.2600 - compound is V75/FDA.
Application of Viton O ring / FKM o ring / FPM o ring
In typical applications, O-rings come into contact with: Chemicals, Heat, Fuels, Di-ester Lubricants, Halogenated Hydrocarbons (above 212°F).
Standard compounds are:
Type A and are commonly available in 75 & 90 Shore Hardness : - V75 & V90. These compounds are normally stocked in Black although other colours can be manufactured, i.e Brown / Green.Other types are available
Type B - Generally used in Chemical Process plant, Power Utility Seals & Gaskets
Type F - Used for Oxygenated Automotive fuels. Concentrated aqueous inorganic acids, water, steam
Type ETP (also known as Viton Extreme) - Offer excellent Chemical resistance and greater performance compared to standard compounds. Used for Automotive & Off Road - High pH lubricants, greases, & Coolants.
