Product Description

The VS1-12/24/33(ZN63A) model is an indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker rated at 12kV, three-phase AC 50Hz. It is designed
for indoor high-voltage switchgear, featuring a spring operating mechanism for both manual and electric operations, ensuring a
combination of protection, control, and circuit breaking. It is suitable for use in places like mines, factories, substations, and
switchyards where the device can handle the demands of frequent operations and monitor current loads.

Operating Environment
Ambient temperature range: -10°C to +40°C (storage allowed at -30°C);
Altitude: ≤1000m;
Relative humidity: Daily average ≤95%, Monthly average ≤90%, Absolute humidity ≤2.2x10³ MPa; daily average water vapor pressure ≤1.8x10³ MPa. During high temperatures, condensation may occur;
Ambient temperature should not exceed 35°C;
No presence of fire, explosion hazard, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, or severe vibration environments.

Structural Features
Insulating Components
The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker uses ceramic or glass vacuum interrupters with metal bellows, featuring
vacuum contact materials and high-pressure forming of sealed insulating enclosures. The contacts have high
dielectric strength, stable pressure, low contact resistance, and enhanced current-carrying capacity with
strong arc-extinguishing performance.

Framework
The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker adopts a modular design with a spring mechanism and vacuum
interrupters enclosed within a tubular insulating framework. The breaker can be installed directly or in
switchgear cubicles, 
allowing for applications in electrical distribution, factories, and substations. The enclosure ensures high
stability and protection against adverse environmental conditions like severe pollution or humidity.

The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker has reliable performance, long mechanical and electrical life, requiring

Operating Mechanism

Working And Operating Principles

Arc Extinguishing Principle
The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker extinguishes arcs using a vacuum as the insulating medium. When the 
contacts separate, the arc is forced to spread and extinguish rapidly due to the magnetic field generated within the
vacuum interrupter, which effectively cools and condenses the arc plasma. This arc extinguishing process
occurs quickly and reliably, minimizing contact wear and ensuring stable operation.

Energy Storage
The energy storage system of the VS1 vacuum circuit breaker utilizes a motor-driven mechanism to wind
the energy storage springs. Once the springs are fully charged, the breaker is ready for operation. This
mechanism is designed for reliability, ensuring stable and swift energy release during switching operations.

Closing Operation
Upon receiving a closing command, the energy stored in the closing springs is released, driving the contacts
together rapidly. This mechanism ensures a quick and reliable closing action, suitable for a range of 
applications demanding high operational performance.

Opening Operation
For opening operations, the breaker utilizes the stored energy in the opening springs, which is released upon
receiving an opening command. The rapid release of this energy forces the contacts apart, interrupting the 
current flow and extinguishing the arc within the vacuum interrupter. This action ensures safe and effective
circuit breaking.

The VS1 vacuum circuit breaker is engineered for easy maintenance with high durability and robust
