Mode of Action | Nicosulfuron is a systemic selective sulfonylurea herbicide. It controls weeds by inhibiting the plant enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). It can be absorbed by the stems, leaves and roots of weeds, and is then transmitted through the plant body, causing growth stagnation, chlorosis of stems and leaves, and gradual death of sensitive plants. Under normal circumstances, they die in 20-25 days. |
