What is Paraffin oil?
Paraffin oil is a mineral oil, a colorless, odorless mixture obtained from the fractionation . It is mainly composed of hydrocarbons and can be used in food, medicine and industry. Paraffin is a mixture of several higher alkanes, mainly n-docosane (C22H46) and n-octacosane (C28H58), containing about 85% carbon and 14% hydrogen. There is no single symbol for a chemical element.
