**Definition & Composition**
Plywood is a versatile engineered wood product made by bonding together multiple thin layers of wood veneers, known as "plies." Each layer's grain is rotated (typically 90 degrees) relative to adjacent layers, a process called *cross-graining*. This structure enhances strength, reduces splitting, and improves dimensional stability, minimizing warping or shrinkage.
**Manufacturing Process**
1. **Peeling**: Logs are rotary-cut into thin veneers.
2. **Drying & Gluing**: Veneers are dried, then coated with adhesives (e.g., urea-formaldehyde for interior use, phenol-formaldehyde for exterior/marine applications).
3. **Layering & Pressing**: Layers are stacked with grains perpendicular, usually in odd numbers (3, 5, 7 plies) to balance stress. The stack is heat-pressed to cure the adhesive.
**Types & Grades** Softwood Plywood: Used in construction (roofing, flooring).
Hardwood Plywood: Decorative surfaces (furniture, cabinetry).
Marine Plywood: Water-resistant, with high-quality veneers and waterproof glue.
Grades: Ranged from A (smooth, paintable) to D (knots, cracks) based on surface quality.

All boards are packed in pallets, inner with polyester bags and outer with carton or plywood, fixed with 12 steel strips tightly.Strong plastic or carton corners are used to protect all corners of pallets to avoid the damage.
