Moisture Sensor for Bins, Chutes, and Conveyor Belts

The Hydro-Probe, developed by SHANDONG MACPEX MACHINERY EQUIPMENT CO., LTD., is a cutting-edge moisture sensor designed for use in processing plants. It utilizes the digital microwave moisture measurement technique, making it the first of its kind. With integral signal processing, the sensor provides a linear output, both digital and analogue, and can easily be connected to any control system.

Perfect for a wide range of applications including sand, cement, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates, the Hydro-Probe ensures accurate moisture measurement. For organic materials, the Hydro-Probe XT is recommended.

Installed in bins (silos), chutes, and conveyor or feed belts, the sensor is positioned in the flow of material. It takes measurements 25 times per second as the material passes over or around the sensor face, allowing for rapid detection of moisture level changes. Real-time adjustments to the moisture content can then be made during processing, ensuring consistent, high-quality product output and reducing costs by minimizing wasted or spoilt materials.

The Hydro-Probe can be easily installed in various locations where there is a flow of material. Additional accessories such as extension mounting sleeves and clamp rings are available to assist with fitting.
