The Singlemode Multi-Purpose Breakout Fiber Optic Cable uses simplex cables (900µm tight-buffered fiber with aramid yarn for added strength) as subunits. At the core's center, a non-metallic FRP strength member provides additional durability. These subunits are helically stranded around the core, and the entire assembly is encased in either a PVC or LSZH jacket for protection.
