Precipitated silica, also known as active silica, chemical formula: SiO2 · nH2O It is a kind of reinforcing and filling material with high specific surface area, high structure and high activity, which is obtained by the reaction of soluble silicate and inorganic acid precipitation, after filtration, washing and drying. Due to its special surface structure and unique physical and chemical characteristics, it has incomparable advantages in light color and color rubber products, which is widely used It is used in shoe making and tire manufacturing.
White carbon black is a general term for white powder X- ray amorphous silica and silicate products. It mainly refers to precipitated silica, fumed silica, ultrafine silica gel and aerogel, including powdered synthetic aluminum silicate and calcium silicate. Silica is a porous material, and its composition can be expressed by SiO2 · nH2O, where nH2O exists in the form of surface hydroxyl groups. It is soluble in caustic soda and hydrofluoric acd, but insoluble in water, solvent and acid (except hydrofluoric acd). It is resistant to high temperature, nonflammable, tasteless, odorless and has good electrical insulation.
Precipitated silica is also divided into traditional precipitated silica and special precipitated silica. The former refers to silicon dioxide produced by sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, CO2 and sodium silicate as raw materials. The latter refers to silica produced by special methods such as high gravity technology, sol-gel method, chemical crystal method, two crystallization method or inverse micelle microemulsion method.
Precipitated silica is mainly used as reinforcing agent of natural rubber and synthetic rubber and friction agent of toothpaste. Fumed silica is mainly used as reinforcing agent, coating and unsaturated resin thickener for silicone rubber. Ultrafine silica gel and aerogel are mainly used as paint matting agents, thickening agents, plastic film openings, etc.
The process of high dispersion silica produced in this project is wet modification (i.e. improved precipitation method).
