The gas pressure regulation metering located at the junction of the long-distance gas transmission pipeline and the city gas distribution system has not been implemented, referred to as the city gate station. The gas from the long distance gas transmission line is first cleared of mechanical impurities by the filter, and then enters the city gas transmission and distribution system through the gas regulator and the gas flow meter . If the gas needs to be deodorized (so that the gas has a clear odor, it is easy to detect when the gas leaks), the pressure should be adjusted and the odor device should be passed after the measurement. When the gas inbound or outbound pressure exceeds the specified pressure, the safety device automatically starts. When a fault occurs in the station, gas can be supplied through the bypass pipe.
