NTC sensors, negative temperature coefficient thermistor sensors, whose resistance value decreases as the temperature rises, have the characteristics of high sensitivity, fast response, low cost, etc., and are widely used in the fields of temperature measurement, control and compensation.
FeaturesNTC sensor has high sensitivity, can accurately perceive small temperature changes; rapid response, can quickly feedback temperature conditions; strong stability, long-term use of reliable performance; lower cost, good economy and so on.
When ordering an NTC sensor, you usually need to pay attention to the following parameters:(1) resistance value: generally refers to the nominal resistance value at 25 ºC, such as 10kΩ, 50kΩ, etc..
(2) B value: reflecting the resistance and temperature changes in the relationship between the constant, determining the sensitivity of the sensor, the common range of 2500K-4500K.
(3) Accuracy: such as ±1%, ±2%, etc., representing the degree of accuracy of the measured temperature.
(4) Dissipation coefficient: unit mW / ºC, reflecting the sensor's own heat on the measurement of the impact.
(5) Thermal time constant: refers to the time required for the sensor temperature to change to the final temperature of 63.2% under the specified environment, generally from a few seconds to tens of seconds.
(6) Operating temperature range: for example, - 50 ºC -150 ºC, indicating that the sensor can work normally in the temperature range.
(7) Package form: such as axial, SMD, etc., according to the application scenario and circuit board design selection.
