Working principle
Porous sound absorption: There are a large number of interconnected tiny pores inside the sound-absorbing panel. When sound waves are transmitted into these pores, air molecules vibrate in the pores and rub against the pore walls, converting sound energy into heat energy and dissipating it, thereby achieving the effect of sound absorption. Fiber sound-absorbing panels such as glass wool and rock wool, as well as foam sound-absorbing panels such as polyurethane foam, are mainly based on this principle to absorb sound.
Resonance sound absorption: Some sound-absorbing panels are designed with a specific structure to resonate when excited by sound waves, consuming sound energy during the resonance process. For example, when an air layer is set behind the perforated panel, when the sound wave frequency is the same as the natural frequency of the resonance system composed of the perforated panel and the air layer, a resonance sound absorption phenomenon will occur.
