Low Voc solventless waterborne hydrophobic emulsion based on silane and siloxane mixtures SiFS-3003C
SiFS-3003C is a solvent-less and water-soluble hydrophobic emulsion based on silane and siloxane mixtures. It is a high quality, general-purpose water repellents for impregnating and priming mineral surfaces. It can be also used in waterborne polymer primers like acrylic formulations to improve hydrophobicity.
Features
SiFS-3003C contains a stabilized mixture of silanes and siloxanes, which will occurs hydrolysis after application to the substrate, the emulsion is converted into a silicone resin. The silicone resin performs as a "hydrophobic film" which reduces the capillary absorption, but does not clog pores or capillaries, it also keep building materials "breathable".

How to Use
Clean and fry the substrate surface, dilute SiFS-3003C with water 5-15 times before use. Brush or spray 2 times to get excellent waterproof performance. When used as addictive for aqueous coatings, recommended dosage 1%-5% by w.t. Small trial is recommended before use.

The SiOH (silicon hydroxy) group react with the substrate to form a thin resin film:
The SiOH (silicon hydroxy) group react with the substrate to form a thin resin film:
• The silane reacts with water (Hydrolysis reaction) to form SiOH (silicon hydroxy) group and it is can be bond to the OH (hydroxy) of the substrate.
• The silanes occurs condensation reaction to form a Si-O-Si group. The alkyl group (R group) of surface is effectively hydrophobic.
• Most of the molecules of siloxanes and silanes are small with strong permeability. It is has a breathable waterproof effect after curing , and than
prevents liquid water that may contain dissolved chloride or acid from penetrating into the substrate
