Magnetic fluid sealing technology is an advanced sealing technology that utilizes the characteristics of magnetic fluids to achieve efficient sealing effects.
Magnetic fluid, also known as magnetic fluid or ferromagnetic fluid, is a special colloidal solution composed of surfactants, nano magnetic particles, and a carrier liquid. This material has the fluidity of liquid and the magnetism of solid materials, and can remain stable for a long time even under the action of magnetic and electric fields. The main components of magnetic fluids include solid ferromagnetic particles (such as iron tetroxide), surface active agents coating the particles, and liquids acting as carriers.
The principle of magnetic fluid sealing technology is that when a magnetic fluid is injected into the gap of a magnetic field, it can fill the entire gap, forming a "liquid O-ring seal". This sealing method is achieved through a magnetic circuit consisting of a circular permanent magnet, pole shoes, and a rotating shaft. Under the action of a magnetic field, the magnetic fluid placed between the shaft and the top gap of the pole shoe is concentrated, forming a so-called "O" ring, which blocks the gap channel and achieves the purpose of sealing. This sealing method is suitable for both magnetic and non-magnetic rotating shafts, and has advantages such as high sealing performance, adaptability, high wear resistance, and low friction.
Magnetic fluid sealing technology has a wide range of applications, including vacuum and low-pressure sealing fields such as electronics, vacuum, chemical engineering, high-precision testing instruments and equipment. Its technical specifications include a stacked magnetic liquid sealing and magnetic aggregation structure. Compared with similar products at home and abroad, its magnetic aggregation effect has been improved by more than 8 times, the structure is compact, and there is no magnetic leakage. The temperature range for use is -30 ºC to 180 ºC, with a single-stage sealing pressure of 0.25atm, suitable for vacuum, waterproof, dustproof, alkaline environments, etc.
In addition, magnetic fluid sealing technology also has the characteristics of anti eccentric vibration, structural adaptability, self-healing, no wear, and easy maintenance, which make it widely used in industrial equipment and machinery fields, such as pumps, valves, rotating shafts, etc. The application of this technology not only improves the reliability of equipment, but also reduces energy consumption and maintenance costs, making it an important sealing solution in modern industry
