PTFE tetrafluoroethylene V-type packing---specially used for shaft motion sealing packing, the selected packing can be a single material, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or graphite (sheet/filament), or composite material , Such as PTFE-graphite, PTFE plus silk, PTFE plus carbide, asbestos-graphite, etc., as well as PTFE plus carbide and asbestos reinforced PDR0.8, carbon fiber composite material PEEK, acetal ACETAL and super polyethylene UHMWPE. The filler can be made into ring (car-made or pressed) or silk-like (woven).

Advantage:
PTFE has good lubricity, good chemical resistance, low friction coefficient and wide operating temperature range, and is generally used for temperatures below 230°C. Usually made into a V-shaped ring, V-shaped processing and forming can be divided into 60° (general occasions) and 90° (high pressure occasions) structures. The temperature is 230-350ºC, generally filled with high temperature resistant materials such as carbon fiber and PPL. When the working temperature is higher than 350ºC, use PPL para-polystyrene packing, or choose to add an extended valve cover. Different combinations of filler materials and types make it more widely used.
The main consideration for the selection of packing is the working temperature of the packing and the sealing effect, friction, and service life. The requirements for packing are:
1.It has a certain degree of plasticity, and can produce a certain radial force under the action of pressing force and closely contact the valve stem.
2.Have sufficient chemical stability. It does not pollute the medium, the filler is not swollen by the medium, the impregnant in the filler is not dissolved by the medium, and the filler itself does not corrode the sealing surface.
3.Good self-lubricating performance, wear resistance and low friction coefficient.
4.When the valve stem has a small amount of eccentricity, the packing should have sufficient floating elasticity.
