High Chrome Cast Iron Roll (HCr)
HiCr Iron and HiCr steel rolls are having high Cr carbide content with a tempered martensitic bainitic matrix in the working shell. Centrifugally cast compound HiCr rolls are made of highly wear and fire crack resistant shell with nodular cast iron core. They provide very high thermal shock resistance, longer pass life and very good surface finish.
HiCr Iron rolls are ideal for roughing work rolls of HSM, plate mill work rolls, skin pass and cold rolling work rolls. Durability during longer run time, resistance to fire cracking and banding are advantages.
Hardness property is stable during whole life of these rolls. Hence, re-hardening or reconditioning is not required.
HiCr Steel rolls are used for reversing and continuous HSM roughing rolls, steckel mill rolls and plate mill rolls. Superior mechanical strength of HiCr steel rolls make them ideal for heavy duty rolling conditions.

Seawoo Roll assures high quality products through an extensive system of quality controls. A number of rigid inspections are carried out for each and every step in the process of our production line. Every set of inspection equipment has to go through high accuracy calibration to guarantee effectiveness of inspection data.
• Scrap and other raw materials are verified so that they meet stringent specifications.
• All melting parameters are analyzed.
• Casting parameters are documented.
• Heating parameters are monitored during the heat treatment process.
• Hardness and internal soundness are checked after the heat treatment process has been carried out.
• Dimensions and final hardness results are checked before shipment.
• An examination to detect freedom of surface and internal cracks is carried out before shipment.
• All results are documented in accordance with our Quality Management System.
High Chromium Cast steel roll is manufacturerdwith special process of triple casting and double duplex technology. High chromium cast steel roll is characterized by high nipping capability, high thermal resistance and high wear resistance.
