The marine capstan is an important equipment of the ship. It is the mechanical device that ensure the ship can sail normally.
Due to the different application, the marine capstan is divided into anchor capstan and mooring capstan. Based on the shape, it can be divided into vertical capstan and horizontal capstan. According to the input power, it can be divided into electric capstan and hydraulic capstan.
In the process of using the Marine capstan, a lot of things need to be noticed. In order to avoid unnecessary damage to the marine capstan, please pay attention to below issues.
1. The marine capstan are strictly prohibited to be used for ascension or manned.
2. Do not work under full load for more than a minute, so as not to burn the motor.
3. When the motor overheat, please allow the motor to cool down and then continue the operation.
4. It is recommended to use the moving pulley when the load exceeds 60% of the rated tension.
