EMT MECHANICAL SET RETRIEVABLE PACKER 

INTRODUCTION

The EMT packer is a full-opening hanging packer for testing, acid treating, and squeeze cementing operations. Generally, the packer consists of a packer body and circulating valve. The packer body includes a J-slot mechanism, a packing element, mechanical slips, and hydraulic anchor mechanism. When the down-hole formation pressure is higher than the upper packer pressure, the packer hydraulic anchor stretches out to the casing wall to avoid the upward flow communication and packing failure due to too high lower packer pressure. Also equipped with friction plate and automatic J-slot sleeves.

Before releasing, first open the circulating valve to equalize the upper and lower pressure of the packer and then pull straight up to release.
