One-way malecot catheter made of natural concentrated latex. It consists of drainage funnel, drainage lumen, drainage tip(malecot tip). Silicone coated, soft and sterile.
Malecot catheter is a medical device used for drainage of fluids from the bladder, kidney or other parts of the urinary tract. It is a soft, flexible, and hollow tube with several lateral openings at its tip, which helps in efficient drainage. The catheter comes in different sizes to suit the needs of individual patients.The other end of the catheter is attached to a drainage bag, which collects the fluids being drained. Malecot catheters are used in urology, gynecology, and other medical fields to relieve urinary obstruction or to help drain fluids from other parts of the body.
For temporary drainage in patient with incontinence or kidney stone - Kidney stone can also be passed by inserting the malecot catheter directly into the urethra. The catheter act as a stent that will allow the stone to pass safely, and urine will be also drained.
Contraindication
This product has no clear contraindications. Patient allergic to natural latex should be cautious of use.
Warnings
1. Single use only, carefully follow the direction and prohibit to use when expired.
2.Medical staff use and operate only
3.This product is sterilized by ethylene oxide. Do not use if package is damaged or opened.
4. The drainage bag must be placed under the drainage site to ensure smooth drainage and prevent backflow and retrograde urine infection
5.Clean the fistula hole every day, pay attention to keeping the fistula hole clean and dry, and avoid fistula hole infection.
6.After use, product and packaging should be destroyed according to hospital requirement or environmental protection requirement.
Storage Conditions
For best preservation, store your product in a cool, dry, and ventilated environment. Avoid exposure to harmful chemicals, organic solvents, and avoid direct radiation or UV light.
