4.Characteristics
1.Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
2. Good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
3. Good resistance to oxidization and non oxidizing acid.
4. Good mechanical properties at room temperature or up to550ºC.
5. A certification of manufacturing pressure vessel of 450 ºC.
The corrosion resistance of Incoloy 825 :
825 alloy is a kind of general engineering alloy, which has the acid and alkali corrosion resistance in oxidation and
reduction environment and effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking for its high nickel composition.In all sorts
of media, corrosion resistance is very good such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and organic acid, to alkali,
such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solution. The higher comprehensive performance
of 825 alloy shows in nuclear burning dissolver of various corrosion medium,such as sulfuric acid, and
sodium hydroxide are all handled in the same equipment.
5. Applications
Widely used in various industrial fields using temperature under 550 ºC. Typical applications:
1.Heating pipe, containers, baskets, and chain of sulfuric acid pickling factories.
2.Water cooling heat exchanger, Marine products pipeline system, acidic gas pipeline environment.
3.Phosphoric acid in the production of heat exchangers, evaporators, washing, dip tube, etc.
4.Air heat exchanger in petroleum refining.
5.Food engineering.
6.The chemical process.
7. Flame retardant alloy of high pressure oxygen application.
